Cancer-Free... How I Got There!

Cancer...WOW is that a scary word. Have you ever had a positive thought after hearing that word?

Yeah...neither had I.

Just the very word “Cancer” has such a negative association to it that it will shoot fear into your consciousness at such an alarming rate it can be more than overwhelming. When I was diagnosed, I had been fortunate in that I had been exposed to some information about how the subconscious mind works and as a result, I was able to virtually eliminate this fear.

Here is what I did.

As I met the several doctors that would care for me while I was in the hospital, I instructed them all to never say the word cancer and not only that, I asked them to only give me good news. I certainly knew what was wrong with me, but I also knew I needed to direct my thoughts to where I wanted to be, not where I was. I knew if I focused on where I was, the Cancer, it would almost certainly be the end of me.

I lost 68 lbs during my experience with Cancer and when I went back to visit some of staff in the hospital after I was home, one of the doctors told me, “It was nothing but your attitude that saved you”.

When dealing with Cancer or anything other adversity in life make sure you stay focused on where you want to be, not where you are now.
